Acne and Folliculitis Which is Easy to Cure

Acne is a terrible condition that affects millions of teenagers and adults all over the World. Curing this problem is a big need for millions of people, but for many it's a problem which seems to never end. The big problem is that many people don't know that their acne isn't acne at all - it's a condition called Folliculitis which is very easy to cure.

As I am sure you've heard - acne is where the pores of your skin become blocked by a "grease" that your skin produces called sebum. And when the pores get blocked, they attract bacteria which infects the pore and makes the red inflamed bumps that acne causes. This condition is incredibly common but is actually mis-diagnosed a lot.

Many people try and cure acne with no luck because they have a totally different condition which resembles acne. The condition that many people have is actually called "Folliculitis" and is where the hair follicles of your skin become infected and inflamed. Acne and folliculitis are totally different conditions which look the same. And fortunately, if you have acne that will not go away, you may have folliculitis.

Folliculitis normally develops on facial and bodily hair follicles and is best described as like having acne but with hairs in. This condition normally develops around the jawline of men (where they shave) and around the bikini line of women (also where they shave). It can also develop around other parts of the body and is caused by a bacterial or fungal infection inside the hair follicle (like acne but in hairs).

Folliculitis is a VERY common condition which is often mis-diagnosed as acne. To spot if you have folliculitis, you should take note of where your acne appears and when it is at its worst. Folliculitis is mainly irritated by shaving, and so if you get a lot of acne or red bumps after you've shaved your faced, bikini line, legs or arm pits then you could have this condition. And fortunately, it's actually very simple to cure.

You can cure folliculitis by using a series of home-made "antiseptic" baths which will kill all the bacteria or fungi inside your hair follicles. Essentially, you just need to get some antibacterial soap, a wash cloth and boiling water. Put them together with some other secret ingredients and then apply to your red bumps. This should sting a little but that means that it's working - and then rinse all the soap away after you're done. Do this for about a week and if you have folliculitis, then it should stop it.
