Eating lots of leafy greens, whole grains, oysters, watermelon, and blueberries (most any fruit will work, really) will help you give your body all that it needs to improve the quality of your erections, while cutting out processed foods, cigarettes and alcohol will provide further benefits.

Add in a healthy dose of exercise at least three times per week, and you’re well on your way to better sexual health!

The Meds You Take

You’ve almost certainly seen various medications advertised on TV. The funny part about those ads is that they spend almost as much time talking about the side effects of their latest “wonder drugs” as they do about its supposed benefits.

Unfortunately, many of the drugs on the market today that are designed to treat various conditions, have side effects that include the degradation of male sexual performance. The most common of these are blood pressure medications, but there are many others.

The good news is that in many cases, there are often (but not always) alternatives to the meds with these side effects. If that’s the case, your doctor can prescribe you an alternative to help alleviate the problem.

Many of the causes of erectile dysfunction are actually psychological. Understand that this is not the same as saying that it’s all in your head, because it’s not.

Stress can lead to heart disease, so why can’t other psychological issues lead to ED? It’s a pretty common, fairly well understood phenomenon.

Stress is, in fact, one of the leading causes of ED, which makes it a particularly nasty condition (because it also can lead to heart troubles, so it hits you twice).

Long before stress kills you though, it will impact your sex life in a major, and entirely negative way.

Our modern society is filled to the point of overflowing with stress triggers. We work too many hours. We don’t take enough vacations, and even when we do, we tend to bring our work with us, thanks to the advent of the smart phone, which is both a blessing and a curse.

Yes, it lets us keep in touch with friends and families no matter where we are in the world, but it also means that we have the tendency to never unplug. We need that. We need time to decompress and relax. Sure, you can run at top speed for a while, but if you do it too long, you’ll burn yourself out.

If you keep going much beyond that, your problems will only worsen with time. Why would you want to do that to yourself? It simply makes no sense.

Depression

Depression is another common cause of ED, and let’s face it. When you’re depressed, sex is about the last thing you’re thinking of.

Stress is a particularly nasty cause of ED, because most of the antidepressant medicines available only make ED worse.

Depression is insidious on another front as well, because it’s easy to get caught in a negative, self-reinforcing feedback loop trap.

What we mean by that is that when you’re depressed, your self-esteem is (by definition) low. If you try to have sex, your low self-esteem may lead to performance issues. Then, when you fail to perform, sexually, it lowers your self-esteem further, which makes future sexual performance issues even more likely.

Once you’re caught in that trap, it can be notoriously difficult to get out of it.

One thing you’ll note that isn’t on the list is "performance anxiety." That’s because while performance anxiety can lead to a lack of sexual performance in certain specific situations, these are generally isolated, one-off events.

The risk, however, is that a failure to perform sexually can sometimes lead to depression, which can cause ED.

You will not be a patient in alcohol rehabilitation if you can handle it by yourself. Basically, to get rid of alcohol comes from your intention. If you believe that you can heal and back to your previous life, you can do it. I know it is not easy, but you can make it step by step.

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer found in women in the 21st century. The oncologists hide the hard truth that chemotherapy cannot wipe off all the cancerous cells. It is a fact that chemotherapy does not have the potentiality to kill all the cancerous cells present in the body; on the other hand the healthy cells in the body are also killed during the chemotherapy treatment due to which the natural immune system of the body is destroyed which gives rise to other health problems as the patient suffers the attack of other infectious diseases. Residue of the diseased cell may remain in the body and slowly and gradually spread in the body without showing any symptoms and thus remain undetected for years. So mastectomy and chemotherapy is not a full proof treatment for breast cancer.

1. Slow-Cooking

Slow-cooking vegetables is one of the gentler ways to prepare them, which makes it an excellent choice.

Vitamin C is one of the easiest vitamins to destroy. But a 2006 study published in the journal Food Additives & Contaminants found that steaming broccoli didn’t damage its vitamin C content.

Steaming is a simple way to cook without using fats. But this so-called health benefit could come back and haunt you…

Many vitamins in vegetables (vitamins A, D E, and K) are “fat soluble,” which means your body absorbs them better with fat.

So if you eat steamed vegetables without adding fat, your body won’t absorb those important nutrients!

You can avoid this by adding healthy fats like coconut or olive oil to your steamed vegetables -- they taste great, and help your body get the most out of every vegetable.

3. Frying

Did you know that frying your vegetables is actually one of the healthiest ways to cook them?

Secrets to Potty Training Your Toddler

Every mother knows that the time will come to potty train her child. If you are a first time mother and do not know how to go about toilet training or have older children but cannot exactly remember how you did it the first time around then read on.

A lot of patience, praise and encouragement are needed when potty training a toddler. You need to have ten times more self discipline in order not to show anxiety when things are not going according to plans in the beginning of toilet training. Make it a fun and exciting learning experience for your child as well as yourself and before you know it, your child is potty trained in no time at all!

Things To Consider When Potty Training A Toddler

Your child must be ready. Do not push your child if he or she is truly not ready. Every child is different so do not rush to compare your child's development with your next door neighbors' son. Some toddlers as young as eighteen months are ready to be trained while others do not become ready until they are as old as three years old.
Start when you as the parent have a lot of time to spend with your toddler. Potty training is more effective when they are a few distractions in your toddlers' small world. This is the time that they want to please you so giving them extra attention is much needed.
Punishment for unsuccessful attempts at using the potty is a definite no-no! Never punish your child when "accidents" happen. It will have a negative impact on your child's esteem.
Encouragement is very effective when potty training your child. Praising successful attempts and saying things like "what a big boy!" or "well done! You are a big girl now" will not only boost your child's self-esteem but will also make him or her more determined to please you the next time.
When do you know that your toddler is ready for potty training? As said before, every child is different but one most common sign is if your child changes his actions because he knows he is about to go. For example my daughter would move to a corner of the room behind a chair. The following are signs you can look that shows your child is ready to be potty trained:

1. Bowel movements happen at around the same time each day.

2. Wakes up from napping dry or can stay asleep for a few hours without wetting.

3. Can manage on her own when pulling her pants up and down.

4. When your child likes to stay dry and lets you know when she has soiled her diapers.

5. Tells you when she needs to use the bathroom.

6. Understands words associated with potty training like potty, pee, poop and wet.

Here are some important tips on what to do when your child is ready for potty training:

1. Make a big deal out of shopping for big kid underwear.

2. Pick out a special potty just for them.

3. Let them put stickers on it.

4. Instruct the child to tell you when they have to go to the bathroom and get excited about it.

5. Have them sit on the potty during periods when you think it might be time to go (i,e, 20 minutes after a meal)

6. Celebrate successes (we had a Potty song and dance)

7. Use encouraging words when they forget - "You'll get it next time, you did it before you can do it again, you're my big boy."

8. Top tip; consistency - try to spend a solid uninterrupted 4-7 days getting the child started, thereafter all other caregivers should follow your technique.

9. For boys: draw a big red circle in the potty with a permanent marker and tell him to hit the circle (you'll thank me later).

Making potty training a casual occurrence will surely help your child learn how to use the potty in the shortest time imaginable. 6 egg whites

1 tsp baking powder

1 cup broccoli

4. bake for 15-20 minutes in a 375F oven until golden brown

Turkey Burgers

4 oz lean ground turkey meat

One-quarter cup spinach

5 chopped almonds

2 chopped mushrooms

salt and pepper to taste

Method

1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
2. place pan on a medium heat and add about 1 Tsp of virgin olive oil
3. in a clean a slight wet hand mold burgers to the required size
4. ensure that each patty is the same size so that cooking times are even
5. place patties in the heated oil and fry on each side until each patty is crispy brown and cooked through
6. serve with a salad or savory rice

How to Get Cat Urine Out of a Mattress

It's a cat owner's nightmare: Kitty "went" on your bed and now you're wondering how to get cat pee out of your mattress. What to do?

Don't panic, but don't waste any time. This is a situation where speed is definitely crucial! The faster you can get to the urine, the more of it you can get out of the mattress and the less lingering smell you'll have to deal with. This is the perfect application for a wet-dry vac, if you happen to have one. But if you don't, just blot up as much of the wetness as you can. This is a really important part of the process so don't stop with the surface wetness - put pressure on the mattress and try to extract as much of the urine from the inside as possible.

When the mattress is as dry as you can get it, focus on eliminating the lingering odor. There are lots of commercial cat odor eliminators available and one of them is probably your best and safest bet. But if you don't happen to have any of those products at hand, try one of the alternatives below.

Option 1: Soak the urine stain with white vinegar, either straight from the bottle or mixed with water. Let the vinegar sit for a few minutes, then blot as much of it as you can from the mattress. Now scrub the area with dish washing liquid, wipe down with plain water, then sprinkle the area liberally with baking soda and rub it  into the fabric. When the baking soda has dried, vacuum the area. This method tends to leave the mattress smelling like vinegar for a while, but it beats the alternative.

Option 2: Make a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Work the mixture into the fabric with a brush and let dry, then vacuum up any remaining residue. If the urine smell remains after the mattress is dry, repeat the process. It can take two or three treatments to completely eliminate the smell.

Option 3: Scrub down the area with shampoo or dish washing liquid, then soak the area with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. If the smell remains after the mattress is dry, repeat the process.

If the urine has already dried into the mattress getting rid of the odor will be more difficult. Again, a commercial product specifically made to get rid of cat urine odor will probably be the most effective, but the methods above are definitely worth a shot. Doing the scrubbing outdoors and letting the mattress dry in the sun can help.

It pays to be thorough, because as long as the cat can smell urine in the mattress, she will probably continue to urinate on it. If you have a persistent mattress pee-er, think about scheduling a trip to the vet. This behavior can be a sign of illness such as a urinary tract infection. Cats who are feeling stress may also exhibit this behavior.
