The Paleo or Paleolithic diet is based on what humans ate in the Paleolithic age. People were simple hunter-gatherers at that time. They ate whatever they found or killed. It is not known if they cooked their meat or not.

The Paleo Diet Rules Out All Grains, Refined Foods and Sugars

The Paleolithic people did not plant any foods. Grains were unheard of. There were no high carbohydrate foods except fruit or berries, and those were only eaten in season. In our age, the majority of our calories come from grains and refined foods. If we cut out all grains and refined foods from our diets, our calorie intake would probably be halved. This alone would guarantee weight loss.

The Paleo Diet Rules Out All Trans Fats and Fried Foods

The only fats that Paleo people ate were those in the meat or fish they hunted. There is evidence that they always ate all the fat of the animals they caught. But, there were no grain-fed meats available then so meats were less fatty. Fish fats are good because they contained little to no saturated fats. Pasture fed animal fat would also be acceptable. All trans fats and hydrolyzed fats are out. You can eat a little butter if need be.

The Paleo Diet Does not Include Dairy. Dairy products were unknown as there were not yet domesticated animals and farming. The use of dairy products should be kept to a minimum, if possible only using dairy products from pasture fed animals.

The Paleo Diet Includes Plenty of:

Vegetables and herbs. Leafy vegetables and herbs are packed full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. These give resistance to disease and keep you healthy. Your Paleo diet should include a good variety of leafy vegetables, preferably organic, and eaten raw.
Plenty of fish and meat - all pasture fed. All the organs as well as the meat and fat were eaten. Your diet should include sufficient proteins in the form of pasture fed animals and fish
Eggs, nuts, fruits were allowed in the Paleo Diet
The Paleo Lifestyle:

Apart from the diet, the Paleo lifestyle would include plenty of exercise while seeking for food, small frequent meals were eaten as they went along. To lose weight and keep trim, it is necessary to begin an exercise program if you have not already done so. Exercise builds muscle while burning fat.

How to Get Cat Urine Out of a Mattress

It's a cat owner's nightmare: Kitty "went" on your bed and now you're wondering how to get cat pee out of your mattress. What to do?

Don't panic, but don't waste any time. This is a situation where speed is definitely crucial! The faster you can get to the urine, the more of it you can get out of the mattress and the less lingering smell you'll have to deal with. This is the perfect application for a wet-dry vac, if you happen to have one. But if you don't, just blot up as much of the wetness as you can. This is a really important part of the process so don't stop with the surface wetness - put pressure on the mattress and try to extract as much of the urine from the inside as possible.

When the mattress is as dry as you can get it, focus on eliminating the lingering odor. There are lots of commercial cat odor eliminators available and one of them is probably your best and safest bet. But if you don't happen to have any of those products at hand, try one of the alternatives below.

Option 1: Soak the urine stain with white vinegar, either straight from the bottle or mixed with water. Let the vinegar sit for a few minutes, then blot as much of it as you can from the mattress. Now scrub the area with dish washing liquid, wipe down with plain water, then sprinkle the area liberally with baking soda and rub it  into the fabric. When the baking soda has dried, vacuum the area. This method tends to leave the mattress smelling like vinegar for a while, but it beats the alternative.

Option 2: Make a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Work the mixture into the fabric with a brush and let dry, then vacuum up any remaining residue. If the urine smell remains after the mattress is dry, repeat the process. It can take two or three treatments to completely eliminate the smell.

Option 3: Scrub down the area with shampoo or dish washing liquid, then soak the area with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. If the smell remains after the mattress is dry, repeat the process.

If the urine has already dried into the mattress getting rid of the odor will be more difficult. Again, a commercial product specifically made to get rid of cat urine odor will probably be the most effective, but the methods above are definitely worth a shot. Doing the scrubbing outdoors and letting the mattress dry in the sun can help.

It pays to be thorough, because as long as the cat can smell urine in the mattress, she will probably continue to urinate on it. If you have a persistent mattress pee-er, think about scheduling a trip to the vet. This behavior can be a sign of illness such as a urinary tract infection. Cats who are feeling stress may also exhibit this behavior.

Endometriosis Symptoms and Causes

Endometriosis is a medical condition in females related to gynecology. It is a condition of formation of endometrial cells. Seen typically during the reproductive period of a woman it affects approximately every 1 out of 10 women. But then all females having retrograde menstruation do not have Endometriosis. However retrograde menstruation causes deposition of endometrial tissues in abnormal locations thereby causing Endometriosis. Another possibility is that the primitive tissues in the pelvic cavity grow into a form of endometrial cells. Transfer of endometrial cells via surgery is another reason for development of Endometriosis in places like brain, spine, lung etc which are remote from the pelvis. The final theory states that if a woman has alterations in the immune system with Endometriosis then the body fails to determine or destroy any case of growth of endometrial cells in abnormal sites.

Diagnosis of Endometriosis is as important as the treatment. However determine a case of Endometriosis is only definite if a patient undergoes a surgery. Otherwise patients suspected with Endometriosis by nature of their pains and cramps are prescribed NSAID drug which controls the pain but has no impact on the endometrial implants. Antiperspirants, usually an aluminum preparation, work by physically blocking and absorbing perspiration. These are available in both prescription and nonprescription strengths. The medical approach centers on moderating the function of the sympathetic nervous system with the use of drugs from the anticholinergic functional class. These drugs are used for things like overactive bladder and muscle spasms and not specifically indicated in hyperhidrosis. The common side effect of dryness of the mouth, and other mucous structures and sweat glands is what is being traded on here.

The most common type of surgeries performed for this condition are sympathectomies. Mainly done endoscopically, the area most commonly worked on is on the inside of the chest wall. The endoscope has permitted many more of these to be done than when they were all done "open-chest". Severing this sympathetic connection removes the source of overstimulation. Other procedures use electrical stimulation of the sweat glands to disrupt them or lasers, curettage and suction to remove them.

Those that suffer from this embarrassing condition can take heart in the fact that there are options for excess sweating treatments that are effective and, like much of medicine, are always improving. Allow all thoughts of any kind to slowly leave your head until you hear nothing but your own breath and/or the gentle music which surrounds you.

This may take time until it settles into your subconsciousness, but I can assure you that if you do this relaxation technique every evening for a few weeks, you should find that your entire body and mind begins to operate on a calmer level...think of it as mind training the mind.

Once your mind is able to administer calmness on a regular basis, it will be far easier for you to feel relaxed during a facial blushing moment.

Once you begin to evaluate the data of when, why and where your facial blushing occurred, you have managed to step so much closer towards the solution. Remember, every person is different and you need to know how to apply certain changes to your life, based on the triggers that cause your facial blushing in the first place.
